Trying New Japanese Foods

During this semester we had our Japanese Club Banquet. This would be the first time that I would get to try some real homemade Japanese¬†food. I didn’t really have any idea of what anything was so I just began to try all of the different kinds of food that everyone had brought. Some of my classmates made onigiri (rice balls) of all different types and the teachers and exchange student made all kinds of food from miso soup to sushi to something called okonomiyaki. The food was really strange to me but all it was delicious.I was all lot of fun hanging out with my friends and classmates and experiencing all of these new things together. There were lots of people who knew what everything was, but there were also many of us who had no idea what it would be like. I hope that we have another one of these events soon for Japan cuisine as well as other cultures. Trying new foods is a strange and exciting thing that I hope I get to do more times in the future. Anyway for this event I had a lot of food trying new things and taking pictures with my friends, classmates, and teacher.
